Mushrif National Park
Mushrif National Park lies a few kilometers from Dubai city. It is a
600 hectare reserve of natural woodland in a sand dune desert
region. A high number of butterflies and birds can be found, such as
Arabian babbler, yellow-throated sparrow, striated scops owl, a
Middle Eastern species. It is on the Important Bird Areas list.
The park is fenced keep camels, goats and other grazing animals out.
Mushrif is a recreational city park with a road system that extends
throughout the area. It includes a theme park with fountains, pools,
and an aquarium, an open-air theatre, a Botanical garden, a Japanese
garden, and a Science park. It is maintained by the Dubai
Municipality
