Mustapha Akkad
(1930- 2005)
Mustapha Akkad was born in Aleppo,
Syria
in 1930. He studied theater arts at UCLA in
California, and received a Masters Degree from the University of
Southern California. He started his professional work in television
with biography on the different ethnic groups in the States and how
their backgrounds affect their lives in America.

the birth of Islam, starring Anthony Quinn and Irene Papas
He was killed on November 9. 2005 in the tragic attack on hotels in
Amman Jordan.
