Daoud Corm

(1852-1930)

Born in Keserwan, Corm is considered to be the pioneer of painting in Lebanon.

Best known as a portrait painter, Corm taught portraiture to the young Khalil Gibran, who went on to not only to become a talented artist, but also Lebanon's most famous writer.
