Desert Castles in Jordan - Tuba

Qasr Tuba lies in a barren region 140km southeast of Amman. It was begun during the reign of al-Walid II in 734, and left unfinished after his assassination in 744. It was designed as two square complexes each 70x73m, joined by a corridor, of which the northern half was finished. The building material is large square bricks.
